An event every day that begins at 9:30 am, repeating until August 17, 2018
Join us for a summer filled with science, learning and wonder at the Children’s Museum of Southeastern CT. We’ll be exploring a different science each week from July 2 to August 24 (from 9:30am-4pm) with demonstrations and hands-on activities. All activities are FREE with Museum admission thanks to the generosity of Pfizer, our Summer Science Days sponsor.
Astronomy – August 13-17
Children become astronauts as they take a tour of our solar system. They will learn what stars and constellations are and make their own constellation viewer. They will experience the relationship between the Earth, Sun and Moon through our Illuminated Orbiter. Visitors can try our Big Sun, Small Moon Experiment and take home their own Pocket Solar System. Guests will explore eclipses through our Bear’s Shadow activity, and they will study the moon by making craters in moon sand as well as touching our simulated moon samples.
