Join us for two special evenings this fall (Oct. 25 & Nov. 22), which are free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. During these events, the Museum will be made more welcoming to our more sensitive guests, along with having some quiet corners and sensory bins set-up throughout the facility. Children will be able to choose what activities they would like to participate in and do them at whatever time they feel most comfortable within the two-hour time frame. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.
Let’s Get Building Day – October 25
Participants will build with materials such as Tegu, Magna Tiles, Thinker Linkers, K’nex and Roy Toys and they will have the chance to decorate a plastic construction hat.
Meet the Animals Day – November 22
Participants will have the opportunity to meet some of our Museum animals like Loki the Leopard Gecko and Mr. Rogers the Russian Tortoise along with making some animals crafts.
Free to attend courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation.
