Drop-Off Policy
We will allow parents to drop off their child while they attend a 45-minute or longer program. We ask that children be able to use the toilet alone (we will escort them to the bathroom, but not enter) and that your child feel safe and comfortable without your presence in the building. Parents will need to complete a drop off form and the programmer will file it in the classroom. Drop off forms will be available at the front desk and must be completed prior to leaving the building. Parents must be reachable by phone at all times during the class and arrive back at the museum 5 minutes prior to the end of class. Fines will be given to parents who pick up late.

Cancellation Policy (attendance, enrollment, weather and illness)
We will cancel a program if we have only one child registered. If two children are registered, we will hold the class. The decision to cancel will be made at approximately 3:00pm the day before the class is to be held. In the event that two children are registered and only one child arrives at the museum for the class, the program will go on, but will be held in a public area. This is for the protection of our staff and the child.

If the parent calls the Museum to withdraw a child from the program at least 24 hours before the scheduled class, they will receive a credit to put toward any Museum service.  A maximum of three credits will be issued to any family in a fiscal year (October 1st – September 30th). Preschool programs often have wait lists, and this allows us enough time to call a waitlisted family and attempt to fill the opening.  If we cancel a class, due to weather or illness or low enrollment, the parent may receive a credit or a refund.

Thank you!
