Birds of Connecticut Art Contest
Do your kids love to paint, draw, and create art? We are excited to offer a new art contest, taking place the month of November. To enter, kids ages 3-10 submit an original piece of art depicting a bird that makes its home here in Connecticut. Entries must be received by Nov. 25 and can be no larger than 8½ x 11 (letter size paper) and in any media that you choose. The works of art will be displayed at the museum, and winners will be announced on Nov. 28 following our bird buffet workshop. Winners receive a $10 gift certificate to the Museum gift shop. There is one prize winner per age category, ages 3-5 and 6-10. To help you get started, this link takes you to a list of birds found in Connecticut.
